Thank you for your interest in donating to the Métis Nation of Ontario Cultural Commission. Your support is invaluable as it will contribute to the preservation and promotion of Métis culture, history and languages in a number of ways!
Your generous contribution could be used to:
- Provide funds to support and maintain individual Métis or groups of Métis, who are actively engaged in research; historical analysis; translation; artistic endeavours; publishing or other activities which preserve, promote or enhance Métis culture.
- Establish and operate Métis halls or centres in Métis communities in Ontario with the aim of providing workshops, programs, athletics, drama, art, music, handicrafts and recreation for the benefit of Métis or to promote Métis and their culture to the general public
- Provide for the planning and execution of public concerts, exhibitions, and educational forums by Métis or about Métis culture
- Establish a Métis museum in Ontario for the preservation of Métis history and artifacts
- Establish Métis educational institutions for the preservation and enhancement of Métis languages and history and culture
- Foster a better understanding or Métis culture and history within the Canadian general public
- Purchase, maintain and preserve Métis artifacts and historical sites and making them available for the education and enjoyment of the general public
